JUI-F calls for countrywide strike on Sunday against leader’s killing

ISLAMABAD: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Saturday gave a call for countrywide strike for Sunday against the killing of senior JUI-F leader Dr Khalid Mehmood Somroo.

The JUI-F chief while addressing a press conference said that JUI-F workers would take to street to hold peaceful protest against the killing of Dr Somroo.

He said that the government failed to protect the life and property  of the citizen.

“All major roads of the country will be blocked tomorrow in protest against the killing,” Fazl said.

He demanded of the government to immediately  arrest those behind the murder.

Soomro was shot dead when he came out of a mosque in Sukkur after offering Fajar prayer .
