ISLAMABAD: The opposition leader in National Assembly (NA), Syed Khursheed Shah, on Wednesday hailed interesting suggestion that ‘It is better to appoint Imran Khan as new Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) of Pakistan to hold fair and transparent election’.
Talking to a private news channel Samaa News, the opposition leader belonging to Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) said that ‘After necessary amendment in the Constitution, Imran Khan should have been appointed on CEC post’.
Khursheed added that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan, who have a good character and an eligible personality, was most suitable option for CEC in current circumstances.
He offered Imran Khan to hold a fair and transparent polls across Pakistan after being appointed on the top post of the highest electoral board, Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
