ISLAMABAD: The Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday expressed his deep sorrow with Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani over dozens of casualties in suicide attack carried out in Paktika province yesterday.
PM Nawaz Sharif exchanged his words through a five-minute long telephonic conversation with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani.
PM Nawaz condemned the suicide attack that claimed several precious lives of innocent Afghan citizens during a volley ball tournament, killing at least 53 persons in the incident on Sunday.
Both high-ups aimed to continue cooperation to fight against terrorism.
Earlier on November 23, a powerful suicide bomb explosion had rocked Afghan province of Paktika, killing as many as 53 people.
A suicide bomber blew himself up in volley ball tournament in a huge crowd at a ground in Yaha Khel district, killing as many as 53 spectators and more than 50 injured.
Afghan official said that most of the deceased were civilians.
The official said that people were gathered to watch final match of volley ball on Sunday that the suicide bomber detonated himself.
