KP government agrees to hold LB polls without bio metric system

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has withdrawn its stance to hold Local Body Polls through bio metric system.

The provincial government has written letter to Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and agreed on to hold elections in April 2015.

The KP Minister for Local Bodies Inayat Ullah Khan has said that the provincial government is ready to hold LB polls in April next year and in this connection the government has written a letter to ECP.

The provincial government has agreed to hold LB polls despite absence of bio metric system.

The government has completed all the preparations for holding of LB polls.

The KP government has also prepared structure of LB system and delimitation adding that there is hurdle from government side.
