Sarfaraz Ahmed’s unique record as wicket-keeper batsman

DUBAI:  Resilient Srfaraz Ahmed became the first Pakistani wicket-keeper batsmen to score three test hundreds in a calender year, as he truck a brilliant knock against New Zealand on fourth day of second test in Dubai, here on Thursday.

Sarfaraz put up a priced 70 runs partnership with Rahat Ali for the last wicket, which is in progress, to shatter the Kiwis hopes of getting a big lead to extract a result in its favour in the test to level the series.

Pakistan is still trailing 14 runs of Kiwis first innings total of 304, though Sarfaraz and Rahat are there to erase the Kiwis hope of any lead.

Sarfaraz has scored three hundreds and four fifties in his 11 matches test career with  the average of over 40.

Earlier, when Pakistan started the forth day play Pakistanwith 281/6 , New Zealand’s Tim Southee struck twice to disturb Pakistani ambition of building up a good partnership.
