Suspected bowling action: Hafeez called back to Pakistan

LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Wednesday announced that all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez will go to England on November 24 to for tests on his suspect bowling action.

Mohammad Hafeez was called back to the country from Dubai after he was ruled out for the second test following hamstring injury.

Hafeez’s action was reported during the first Test against New Zealand in Abu Dhabi last week.

PCB spokesperson said that Hafeez would join the team after getting his action tested in England.

It is noteworthy to mention here that Pakistan ace spinner Saeed Ajmal has also been suspended by International Cricket Council (ICC) for illegal bowling action.

Under International Cricket Council (ICC) rules for dealing with suspect actions, a bowler must undergo a bio-mechanical test in an accredited laboratory within 21 days of being reported
