If construction of roads, bridge is development, then Malik Riaz should be Prime Minister: Imran

PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Tuesday said that Malik Riaz should be Prime Minister of Pakistan if only construction of bridges, flyovers and roads is meant  development of any country.   

Talking to reporters Imran Khan said that the current system needed complete overhaul  and PTI was working to change the governance system of the country.

He said that that development did not mean just construction of roads and bridges for locals rather reforming the system infested by corruption and other malpractices for ensuring quick and efficient services’ delivery and dispensation of inexpensive but quick justice.

He emphasised on complete reforming of governance system in the country.

Khan accused the  federal government of depriving Khyber Pakhtunkhwa of its due shares in resources, including non-payment of net profit on hydel power generation.

He added that KP government was under financial strain due to Centre’s continuous denial of the province shares in resources.

He said that the Internally-Displaced Persons of North Waziristan were burden on the province.

He said that KP government would go to the Supreme Court (SC) to get its due share from the centre .

He enumerated the various steps taken by the PTI-led Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government for development of the province.

He said that the provincial government was ready to induct IDPs youth in KP police, which will be helpful in making  security arrangements in areas inhabiting by the IDPs.
