KARACHI: Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) on Monday submitted an adjournment motion in Sindh Assembly, seeking immediate debate on Tharparker situation.
The motion, which has been submitted by PML-F leader Imtiaz Sheikh and others others, stated that the government had miserably failed in controlling children death in the remote district of the province.
He stated that malpractices were committed in distribution of relief goods, food items and medicines.
He called for bringing to book those responsible for deaths of children due to malnutrition stoked by the famine conditions prevailing in the areas.
Sheikh said that the government failed to control the situation arising out of the drought in the desert area.
The PML-F lawmakers called upon the chair to hold debate over Tharparker issue by suspending routine business of the House.
It is to be mentioned here that famine like condition prevailed in the desert area due to drought which has led to deaths of over 80 children during last 50 days.
The provincial government of Sindh has been under harsh criticism of different quarters for its failure to handle the situation.
