CANBERRA: Chinese President Xi Jinping and Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott have signed a declaration of aim on a landmark free trade deal during a ceremony in parliament in Canberra on Monday, November 17.
The deal will unlock Chinese markets to Australian farm exporters and the services sector.
China is already top trading partner of Australia, with two-way trade of around A$150 billion ($130 billion) in 2013.
“This will add billions to the economy, create jobs and drive higher living standards for Australians,” Mr Abbott said.
