PTI Jhelum shows political stability despite attacks

JHELUM: Despite severe attack on its workers Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Sunday recorded political strength and stability at Syed Zamir Jafri Stadium of Jhelum.


PTI started its public gathering as per schedule and plan with public packed cricket stadium while Chairman Imran Khan also reached at venue.

Chairman Imran Khan congratulated citizens of Jhelum to participate in public gathering in large numbers despite fierce attacks on PTI workers.

Khan announced to meet injured PTI workers in the attack, specially scheduled to meet 21-year-old Adnan who is fighting for life in Rawalpindi hospital.

He said that underage boys were targeted in the attack who were reaching the venue.

PTI chairman said that youth is the biggest power of Pakistan, as well as the women who are standing for ‘NAYA PAKISTAN’.

‘Yesterday, a match was played between Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and PM Nawaz Sharif, but nation was avoided due to GO NAWAZ GO fear.’

He alleged that persons who sold black tickets in cinemas and running one or two factories in the country suddenly turned into richers after getting power and become the rulers and business giants.

‘Rulers are preparing their children for making this nation their slaves’, he said.

He took promises from the participants to raise voice against corruption and injustice system in Pakistan.

Imran Khan announced to reach Larkana city of Sindh province on Friday and Gujranwala city of Punjab province on Sunday in his next phase of public gatherings.

He invited all participants in the protests on November 30 in Islamabad, the federal capital of Pakistan.

It is noteworthy to mention here that district and divisional chapters placed 15,000 chairs in the stadium while total capacity of the stadium is 80,000.

Central and provincial leadership also participated in the public meeting.

Earlier, at least eight Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) workers were injured by firing near Gharmala in Jhelum when a bike rally was moving towards the venue today.

The injured workers were shifted to District Civil Hospital by the rescue teams immediately while local administration ordered to increase security measures in the area.

PTI officials leveled allegations on former Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) lawmaker, MPA Nadeem Khadim, responsible for the attack.

Arif Alvi told media that Nadeem’s guard opened unprovoked firing at the rally of PTI.

Talking to media, Khadim said that he could not shoot any fire and his all offices are closed near the public meeting venue.

“Drug dealers were also present in the PTI convoy,” he said

Yesterday, PTI had displayed its political power at Sheikh Zafar Ali Stadium in Sahiwal.
