RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif arrived in the United States (US) for a seven-day visit on Sunday, November 16.
According to ISPR, Pakistan embassy officials welcomed the Army Chief at the airport. DG Military Operation (DGMO) and DG ISPR Major General Asim Saleem Bajwa are also with General Raheel Sharif.
In the first phase, Sharif will make his first visit to the US Central Command Headquarters in Florida where he will discuss Afghanistan issues with high-level army officials.
In the second phase, he will meet Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel in Pentagon, Washington.
