LPG price cut by Rs5/kg

ISLAMABAD:  The price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LGP) has been cut by the marketing companies  by Rs5 per kilogramme amid the ongoing operation launched by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) against LPG marketing companies for charging inflated price despite considerable cut in the commodity’s price in international market.

As a result of the cut, the price of domestic cylinder has come down by Rs 60 and commercial cylinder by Rs 120.

Its is to be mentioned here that this is for the second time that LPG price has been slashed in a week. Earlier in the week, LPG price was slashed by Rs10 per kg by the marketing companies.

Chairman LPG Distributor Association is of the view that despite drastic reduction in price of the commodity in international market, the local marketing companies are not passing on full impact of the price dip to consumers.
