Misbahul Haq leaves Imran Khan, Javed Miandad behind

ABU DHABI: Misbahul Haq became the most successful skipper of Pakistan when the Greenshirts defeated New Zealand in first test on Thursday.

Misbahul Haq had leveled the record of Imran Khan and Javed Miandad with victory over Australia in their second Test. Now with this win over New Zealand, he has 15 Test wins as the captain, surpassing both great players.

Misbah was given the charge of the Test team after the 2010 summer tour of England following the allegations of spot-fixing against then captain Salman Butt. Since then he has led Pakistan in 32 Tests. He has the credit of defeating Sri Lanka, Australia, England, and New Zealand in Test series.
