Asma Jahangir calls Imran ‘bhonga Khan’

LAHORE: Former president of Supreme Court (SC) Bar Association Asma Jahangir has termed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan ‘bhonga Khan’.

Addressing the PTI sit-in on Tuesday, Khan made Jahangir the target of his scathing criticism. Khan said on one hand Jahangir criticised women participating in the PTI protest for dancing and on the other she herself does the same in India.

Khan added it seemed as if Jahangir and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman had become friends.

In response to Khan, Jahangir warned the PTI chairman to remember his actions. She said Khan should watch what he said because he was not perfect enough to criticise others.

“I have never said anything critical about dancing. If Khan sahb wants to go to India and dance I have not stopped him nor is he under any sort of restriction. I call what he says from the container fatwa of bhonga Khan,” she said.
