KHAIRPUR: Senior leader of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Sindh Minister for Prison Manzoor Wasan said that the report about Thar famine was incomplete.
Manzoor Wasan while talking to media said the report was still incomplete it will take two to three days to complete it.
He further said Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah was a pro-people personality and services for improving the lost of Tharis can’t be denied.
Earlier, Syed Qaim Ali Shah and Manzoor Wasan were issued show cause notices by the party leadership over allegedly leaking the investigation report into Thar drought to media.
In a statement issued from Bilawal House, the PPP rejected the report presented to the media by Wasan, citing it “premature and insubstantial”.
The notices were issued after reports about the famine situation in Thar were aired on local TV channels. Massive irregularities and government’s negligence in dealing with drought in Tharparkar district was detected by the inquiry panel headed by Wasan.
The ruling party in Sindh also sought written explanation from the chief minister and the minister for prisons.
