Karachi transporters conditionally agree to slash fares

KARACHI: Karachi Transporters Ittehand (KTI) has  conditionally agreed to slash transport fares  up to six percent in the city.

The agreement was reached during a meeting of KTI with Sindh Transport Minister Mumtaz Jhakrani.

The KTI said that if qingqi rickshaws were  banned on main roads of the city they will cut  fares up to six percent.

Earlier, owners of intercity buses had agreed to reduce fares of all destinations up to seven percent on Wednesday.
