Pillion riding ban lifted in Karachi, other cities

KARACHI: The pillion riding ban imposed by the provincial home department  in nine cities of Sindh including provincial metropolis,  Karachi, was lifted midnight on Tuesday.

The ban was imposed by the home department for three days, 8th to 10th Muharram,  from Nov 2 to Nov 4, 2014, amid security concerns in the wake of Muharram processions.

Besides Karachi, the ban had been in place in Hyderabad, Sukkur, Nawabshah, Khairpur, Sanghar, Mirpurkhas and other cities.

The band was lifted by the Home Department at midnight  12:00 am.
