COAS Raheel Sharif to visit Kabul on Thursday

ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif will leave on Thursday to a visit to Kabul, DG ISPR said.

According to Director General (DG) Inter Service Public Relation Asim Bajwa in a tweet on social media site, the COAS will meet the new Afghan leadership.

It will be one day  visit and the COAS General Raheel Sharif would meet Afghan President  Ashraf Ghani, CEO Abdullah Abdullah, defence minister, national security  adviser and senior military leaders,  DG ISPR Major General Asim Bajwa said.

General Sharif would discuss security issues concerning both the countries as well as the post evacuation of US-led international forces from Afghanistan, during his meetings with Afghan civil and military leaders.
