US ambassador condole families of Wagah border attack victims

ISLAMABAD:  The United States (US) ambassador Richard Olson on Monday said that America condemned the senseless terrorist act at the Wagah Border post on November 2, 2014.

“On behalf of the American people, I extend my heartfelt sympathies and condolences to the families of the victims as well as to the Government and people of Pakistan,” he said in a statement.

“This act demonstrates terrorists’ blatant disregard for life.  The United States remains steadfast in its commitment to the people of Pakistan in their efforts to counter terrorism, uphold the rule of law, and build a peaceful future for themselves and their children.

“We support Pakistan’s efforts to bring all those involved in planning and executing this attack to justice and stand ready to provide any appropriate assistance to authorities investigating this tragic attack.”
