Mobile services to be suspended on 9th, 10th Muhrram

ISLAMABAD: Mobile phone services in Islamabad will be suspended on 9th and 10th Muhrram due to security concerns, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan announced on Saturday, November 1.

A control room will be made for security purposes in the office of interior minister.

The federal government has sent a letter to Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) in this respect.

The services will also be suspended on the same days in Khyber Pakhtunkwa (KP), home minister KP said.

Karachi police have also requested Sindh government to suspend mobile services from 8th to 10th Muhrram in the city.
