Karachi plunges into darkness as lines trip after rain

KARACHI: Due to rain throughout Karachi on Friday-Saturday night as many as 120 feeders of K-Electric tripped that plunged the areas into darkness, media reported.

The areas which suffered electricity failures included Shah Faisal Colony, Korangi, Landhi, New Karachi and North Karachi.

A K-Electric spokesman said: “About 120 of our feeders were affected due to the rain and our staff is currently working on fixing the problem and they should be running again very soon.”
