PM constitutes committee to investigate over-billing

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has constituted a cabinet committee comprising five ministers regarding electricity overbilling.

The committee has been assigned task to submit recommendation of relief package to customers and investigation into overbilling composite report in November 6 meeting of the cabinet.

Earlier the PM had rejected audit report presented before special cabinet meeting held on Friday (today).

The premier has constituted a committee comprising federal ministers, Ishaq Dar, Chaudhry Nisar, Khwaja Asif, Shahid Khaqan Abbassi and Khurram Dastagir. While secretary for Power and Water Muhammad Younis also made part of the committee.

The committee will submit its report in one week to the PM.
