Pak Army hands over 29 Afghan nationals to Afghan govt

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Army handed over as many as 29 Afghan nationals to Afghanistan as good-will gesture who had been arrested in North Waziristan, ISPR said.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Afghan nationals were residing in North Waziristan illegally and were arrested during Operation Zarb-e-Azb.

The ISPR added no connection was found between militants and the Afghan nationals. Hence they were handed over to Afghan government as good-will gesture.

The Afghan nationals were handed over to the Afghan government near Ghulam Khan Border, ISPR said.
