LNG import to benefit country to the tune of $2bn: Abbasi

ISLAMABAD:  Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Friday told the import of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) would benefit the country  to the tune of $ 2 billion.

Briefing the cabinet, which has specially been convened to evaluate the performance of federal ministers, Abbasi said that during the last one and half year his ministry had made about 45 discoveries of oil and gas.

He said that his ministry raised the country’s oil output by 30 thousand barrel per day during the period.
