All key areas of North Waziristan were cleared: DG ISPR

RAWALPINDI: The Director General of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asim Bajwa on Wednesday said that all key areas of North Waziristan agency had been cleared of militants.

Talking to media, DG ISPR said that at least 44 terrorists were killed and over 199 surrendered in Khyber Agency.

“Operation Zarb-e-Azb is continuing successfully, terrorism will be eradicated from the country soon,” Asim Bajwa said.

“The operation has positive impact on law and order situation and terrorism would be eliminated in Peshawar,” Bajwa said.

“Reconstruction work has already begun in the terrorism-hit areas. The 1.92 million ammunition including 2,000 AK47, 132.5 tons explosives recovered from terrorists in North Waziristan,” he added.
