Australia bamboozled by an inexperienced bowling attack

KARACHI: Australia were bamboozled by a bowling attack in their first Test against Pakistan that had not played even a dozen Tests. The most experienced of the main bowling attack was Rahat Ali, who made his debut only last year and had played only six Tests before this match.

Zulfiqar Babar, who orchestrated the win along with debutant Yasir Shah, had played just two Tests before this. Imran Khan, the pace bowling partner of Rahat, also made his debut in this match. He got the important wickets of Brad Haddin in the first innings and Chris Rodgers in the second.

Australia, on the other hand, had Mitchell Johnson, Nathan Lyon and Peter Siddle who have a number of years experience in international cricket.
