ISLAMABAD: Opposition leader in the National Assembly Khursheed Shah has said that Dr Qadri’s wrapping up of his party’s sit-in is a welcome step, adding that it is the victory of the Parliament.
Addressing the NA session on Thursday, he also appealed to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan to also wrap up PTI’s sit-in.
The Opposition leader said that after many years politicians behaved in a matured manner.
“Now, it is the government duty to learn from its mistakes and go ahead,” he said.
He said that the Parliament was the only forum which can solve all issues and urged the PTI to return to Parliament.
Khursheed said that the PTI demands were justified .
He demanded that facts regarding Nandi Pur Power Project should be presented in the Parliament as the project cost increased up to 100 billion rupees.
Khursheed demanded the government to announce public holiday on Friday (tomorrow) on Dewali a Hindu festival.
