K-Electric disconnects 15 post offices’ power connection over default

KARACHI: K-Electric has disconnected electricity connection of as many as 15 post offices out of the 25 defaulters officers of the Pakistan Post in the city, here  on Thursday (today), K-Electric spokesman said.

According to the spokesman, some 4.6 million rupees are outstanding against as many as 25 post office .

The power utility served notice on the officer several time bu these did not clear their outstanding electricity  bills.

The spokesman said that after failure to clear the dues despite repeated notices, the power utility severed electricity connection of 15 out of the 25 defaulting post offices in the city.

The K-Electric has requested the government to cooperate in payment of dues outstanding against government departments and organisations.
