ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Wednesday saluted Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) head Dr Tahir-ul Qadri and his workers for courageously facing the worst police crackdown and teargas shelling on August 31 night in Islamabad.
Delivering speech to the participants of Azadi March, Imran also lauded the PAT leadership and workers over staging continuous sit-in in the capital for around 70 days.
He regretted that PAT had ended their sit-ins, as workers of PTI and PAT had become friend of each other and they will miss each other.
The PTI chief expressed his gratitude and congratulated PAT chief Dr Tahirul Qadri for raising awareness among people.
Imran said that their sit-in will continue during Muharram but the format will be changed with songs not to be played.
He maintained that he would not end his sit-in at Islamabad without getting the resignation of Prime Minister .
Imran said that it was a decisive moment and that new Pakistan would be established at all cost.
The PTI chief said that the sit-in would keep pressure on the government.
