MULTAN: Malik Amir Dogar, the newly-elected MAN from NA-149 Multan, called on Makhdom Javed Hashmi, to whom he defeated in the bye-election, at his residence.
Talking to journalists after a meeting with Hashmi, Dogar heaped praise on Makhdom Javed Hashmi for his struggle and sacrifices for protecting and strengthening democracy in the country.
Dogar said that Hamshi had been in prison with his father Malik Salahuddin Dogar and had rendered great sacrifices for democracy.
Hashmi said that he welcomed Dogar at his residence and thanked him for the visit. He said that he had accepted people’s decision with open heart.
It is to be mentioned here that after suffering defeat at the Dogar’s hand in the bye-election, Hashmi accepted the result with open heart and extended felicitation to Dogar over his victory.
