SYDNEY: Australian government allowed women to wear veil on their faces in the Public Galleries of Senate on October 20, Monday.
According to a foreign agency news, Australian Parliament made the decision on veil (or Hijab) after involvement of Prime Minister Tony Abbott.
Earlier, the government had banned the Burqa wearers around the Public Galleries on October 2.
