Govt imposes section 144 in Islamabad for two months

ISLAMABAD: Federal Government has imposed section 144 in capital Islamabad for two months.

In this regard Deputy Commissioner (DC) Islamabad, Mujahid Sher Dil, issued a notification.

With the imposition of the section, holding rallies and public meeting and assembly of more than four people were banned.

It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) have been holding sit-ins since August this year.

There are report that the PAT might  announce to end its sit-in in Islamabad.

If PAT ends it sit-in, it will be difficult for PTI to continue with the its sit-in in the federal capital .
