JERUSALEM: Israel Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman on Tuesday said that the peace dialogue with Palestine Authority might be abandoned follwing the British Parliament resolution to support recognition of Palestine as sovereign state .
“Palestinian leadership can get a chance of escape with this type of support,” Lieberman said in an interview with foreign news agency.
“The situation is not suitable for peace dialogue in the Middle East,” he said.
British Parliament had passed motion with an overpowering majority to recognise Palestine as a state alongside Israel.
Some 274 MPs voted in support of the motion against 12 no votes.
