Top MQM leaders receive extortion chits from TTP

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Co-ordination Committee members and senior leaders have received separate extortion chits demanding varying amount with threats of dire consequences if they failed to meet the demands, MQM spokesman said.

As many as 11 leaders including members of the co-ordination committee including Hyder Abbas Rizvi, Rasheed Godale, Kanwar Khalid Jamil and Khalid Maqbool Siddique had received extortion chits, the party said.

The spokesman said that MQM had apprised Governor Sindh Ishratul Ebad and law enforcement agencies’ high ups about the  threats.

The MQM spokesman say banned Tehreek-e-Taliban has sent the chits.
