ABU DHABI: Australia has cleaned sweep against Pakistan in Abu Dhabi as it won the match by one run. In last over Pakistan needed just 2 runs off six balls but green shirts player could not make easy target and last two wickets could not add single run on the score board.
Over all it was poor performance of Pakistan players that resulted into victory of Australian team.
Asad Shafique was top scorer by making 50 runs, after him Sohaib Maqsood scored 34 runs.
From Australian side, Richardson, Faulkner, Maxwell, Doherty took two wickets each.
Earlier, Â Australia has given a handsome total of 232 runs for Pakistan in third one day played at Sheikh Zaid cricket stadium in Abu Dhabi, losing 9 wickets as SPD Smith was highest scorer with 77 runs.
For respectful defeat in a one day series against Australia Pakistan has to win the match as it has lost two earlier matches, it would be clean sweep to Australians if it defeated Pakistan in the match.
Australia won the toss and chose to bat first, two batsmen of kangaroo’s side able to manage fifty in the match; SPD Smith made 77 runs and David Warner scored 56 runs.
Sohail Tanveer got three wickets, Pakistani skipper of the match Afridi took two wickets, Muhammad Irfan and Anwer Ali too one wicket each and two of Australian player bowled run out.
