MULTAN: Imran Khan has alleged local administration of Multan responsible for today’s stampede in PTI congregation and demanded suspension of Deputy Commissioner Multan.
Imran said that Multan administration just opened just two gates for people evacuation from the congregation and there was six gates in the Ibn-e-Qasim Bagh stadium and four of the gates did not open which caused number of deaths, Imran added.
The PTI chief said that vice chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi has informed him that local administration did not cooperate with the party and disconnected electricity supply despite payments in this regard.
The local administration also removed ladder fixed at stage which caused difficulty for party leaders.
The PTI chairman also said that Multan administration sent lots of people on the state to disturb discipline.
Due to Multan tragedy the PTI chief canceled his today’s speech at D-Chowk Islamabad.
Imran announced that from the next congregation all the arrangements will be carry out by PTI and no any single responsibility will be left to local administration.
The PTI vice chairman also demanded probe into the matter.
