20 horses shifted to Bilawal House Lahore on Zardari’s instructions

LAHORE: As many as 20 horses from a riding club in Lahore have been shifted to Bilawal House, Lahore, media reported.

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman and former president Asif Ali Zardari inspected the horses.

All the horses were shifted to Bilawal House on the instruction of Asif Ali Zardari.

After departure of Asif Ali Zardari from Presidency last year, as many as 80 horses were shifted to a riding club in Lahore from the President’s House.

Zardari has been a polo player and horse lover since long. The last time he brought polo ponies to the hallowed official grounds of the Prime Minister’s House in the 1990s, creating a scandal for his spouse, Benazir Bhutto.

Later, a reference was also filed against him in National Accountability Court for alleged corruption in construction of polo ground in the Prime Minister House. But he was acquitted in the case.

In 2008, when he was elected as President of Pakistan, Zardari brought horses of Arabian breed to the President’s House as a demonstration of his love for horses.
