PAT lawyer withdraws defamation notice served on Bilawal

ISLAMABAD: A lawyer of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT), who has earlier sent a legal notice to Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for making alleged defamatory remarks against party chief Dr Tahirul Qadri, has withdrawn the notice on Dr Qadri’s instruction.

Qadri said the notice was sent without his consent adding that Bilawal Bhutto is like his son.

Earlier, media reported that Qadri’s counsel Ishtiaq Chaudhry  Advocate had served legal on Bilawal Bhutto, demanding Rs one billion rupees as damages for making defamatory remarks against Qadri in his tweet on social networking site, twitter.

It is to be mentioned here that on Saturday Dr Qadri during his address to his followers at sit-in outside the Parliament House, had come down hard on PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari  and warned him to hold his tongue other wise he would take his tongue out.

Bilawal responded on twitter and declared Qadri “Cartoon”.
