BANGALORE: Perth Scorchers defeated Lahore Lions by 3 wickets in last group match of Champions league T20 (CLT20) on September 30, Tuesday in Bangalore.
Perth Scorchers chased down the easy total of 124 runs in 19 overs on loss of 7 wickets against Lahore Lions.
Skipper Mitchell Marsh batted beautifully for his 57 runs while Brad Hogg played a vital cameo of 28 runs.
However Lions bowled superbly to defend the total but could not do so. Lions skipper Mohammad Hafeez bowled a magnificent spell taking 2 wickets just giving away 8 runs.
Earlier, Lions batting first have the disastrous start as top four batsman went back in the pavilion just 12 runs on board.
Umar Akmal and Saad Nasim done the recovery work but at the score of 54 Umar Akmal lost his wicket after scoring 26 runs.
Saad Nasim played a magnificent un beaten knock of 69 runs to guide the total to 124 runs mark.
