Iranian President expresses wish to have warm relation with Saudi Arabia

NEW YORK:  President of Iran Hassan Rouhani has said that his country wants to establish good relations with Saudi Arabia.

Talking to media in the US, the Iranian President said that the differences between Saudi Arabia and his country were narrowing rapidly. “We understand each other’s point of view in a better way now and I want to continue the process aimed at having better relations with Saudi Arabia,” the Iranian President said.

Rouhani said that better relations with Saudi Arabia would help strengthen the security of the whole region.

The Iranian President is in US to attend the United Nations’ General Assembly session.
