Eid Al Adha will fall on Oct 4 in Saudi Arabia

RIYADH : Eid Al Adha will fall on Sunday, October 4, 2014, as crescent moon sighted in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and other Middle East countries.

Arafat Day will be on Friday October 3. Consequently, Eid Al Adha would begin on Saturday, October 4.

Government of Saudi Arabia declared that the crescent moon sighted in different parts of the country.

Earlier, ICOP Chairman Mohammed Shawkat Awda, said, if the astronomical calculation turned out to be correct then Eid Al Adha likely be on Sunday, October 5, according to report.

He added that countries that strictly follow moon sighting may begin Dhul Hijjah on Friday, September 26.
