PESHAWAR: Awami National Party (ANP) senator Zahid Khan on Tuesday said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan had failed to make “a New Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP)” although he talked of making a “New Pakistan”.
Zahid said that the provincial government was not present in KP, but it was with Imran Khan in Islamabad during the worst condition of the city.
“Khan has left KP’s people alone. He must tell what he has done in the province?” he said.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif condemned the blast and said that public stood with security forces at any cost and people would foil the mission of terrorists.
Information Minister Pervez Rasheed, Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Siraj-ul-Haq, Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain, Governor Sindh Ishrat-ul-Ibad and CM Sindh Qaim Ali Shah also condemned the blast in KP’s capital city Peshawar.
At least four people were killed and 13 were injured in the blast.
