Three killed in Peshawar blast

PESHAWAR: As many as three people were killed in a bomb blast which targeted a Frontier Constabulary (FC) vehicle near Peshawar Press Club on September 23, Tuesday.

According to details, the blast was so intense that glasses of the nearby buildings were smashed. The explosion was heard far and wide.

There are different reports regarding the dead. At least three people are confirmed dead, one FC man, one woman and a passerby. 13 have sustained injuries.

The dead and the injured were shifted to Lady Reading Hospital.

Emergency has been imposed in the hospital.

The security forces cordoned of the area and started search operation in the area for collecting evidence which could help in apprehending terrorists.

Peshawar Police Chief Aijaz Ahmed said that the explosive material was fitted in a car.

Another  police officer expressed opinion that blast could be suicide but no confirmation in this regard made yet.
