Indian, Chinese military tension rise at Ladakh border

LADAKH: Tension has risen up at Ladakh border between Chinese and Indian Army resulting into cancellation of Indian Army Chief Visit to abroad.

Yesterday, Chinese Army commented that there are “differing perceptions” of the LAC but the two sides can resolve boundary issues through dialogue.

“We have noted the relevant media reports,” the office of the spokesman of China’s ministry of national defence said about the stand-off between the troops of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) and that of India in Chumar area of Ladakh which has been continuing for over a week.

The Indian Army  has put 15 of its battalions on high alert in eastern Ladakh keeping in view the incidents of incursions there, reports suggested on Sunday.

The Army is also keeping its ‘reserve units’ on alert.
