Eid-ul-Adha likely to celebrate on October 6 in Pakistan: Met Office

KARACHI: Met Office predicted that the Eid-ul-Adha is likely to celebrate on October 6 to 8 in Pakistan.

Royat-e-Hilal committee will hold meeting under the supervision of Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman on September 25 to see the moon of Zil Hajj.

However, according to Met Office, the chances of moon sighting are low on that day.

Among several festivals celebrated by Muslims, Eid- Ul- Adha is also one of the special festivals of Muslim. Eid- Ul –Adha is also known as Bakr- Eid and festival of sacrifice.

On this festival Muslims sacrifice their domestic animals like goat (Bakr- Eid), sheep, cow, camel etc. This sacrifice made by Muslims is a symbol of sacrifice made by prophet Abraham.
