IHC issues show cause notices over not evacuating schools

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has issued show cause notices to Inspector General (IG) Islamabad and secretary interior over not evacuating as many as 20 schools and colleges of capital over the court orders.

Justice Athar Minullah heard the petition against occupation of capital schools by police.

The judge remarked that authorities did not obey the IHC instruction and served them show cause notices to IG Islamabad and interior secretary.

He also asked to IG and Inter secretary to submit affidavit.

It will not be allowed any more lose of education to Islamabad schools students, judge added.

It is pertinent to mention here that earlier the court has already given deadline to empty all schools and colleges till Tuesday.
