FAISALABAD: Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) has launched a vigorous campaign to collect donation for flood affectees of Punjab.
In this connection funds of Rupees 2.5 million were raised during a special meeting of disaster management committee of the FCCI on Wednesday.
Engr. Suhail Bin Rashid President FCCI chaired the meeting while Ch. Abdul Qayyum Chairman disaster management committee briefed the participants about the harrowing tales of displaced families and made a passionate appeal for the help, restoration and rehabilitation of flood affectees.
The meeting unanimously decided to immediately start fund raising campaign assigning duties to President Suhail Bin Rashid and Vise President Ch. Asghar.
They would collect mandatory donations from Corporate and associate class respectively. In later phase, survey would be conducted to assess and identify the actual needs of the affectees.
In last phase the eatables, medicines, fodder or any other item would be distributed among the effected persons of flood ravaged area.
