Why resignation? PM rejects PTI demand

ATTOCK: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has categorically rejected protesters demand of resignation from his post and his brother Shahbaz Sharif, TheNewsTribe reported.

Addressing the ceremony of Oil Gas Development Cooperation Limited (OGDCL), he announced two bonus salaries for OGDCL staff.

The PM said that on just demand of 5000 demonstrators he cannot resign from his post as he was elected by people of Pakistan.

He said that protesters wanted to derail the country from development as they did not leave Shahra-e-Dastoor on expected visit of Chinese premier which resulted into cancellation of his trip.

Nawaz said that the government would continue to carry out development work in the country despite protesters demands.

He raised the question that who told the protesters to ask PM resignation bringing out 5000 demonstrators in Islamabad.

The premier informed the gathering that the government would end electricity crisis in three to four years.
