Islamabad police face dearth of officers

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad police have faced with dearth of officers as political protest in form of sit-in by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) has entered second month, Express News reported.

According to the report, many Islamabad police officers have become sick and two of them have taken leaves.

 Additional Inspector General (add IG) Sultan Azam Taimori, Superintendent of Police (SP) city Mustansar Feroz and DPD Shakir Ullah have become ill.

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Khalid Khatak already on leave due to heart ailment and SP traffic Ismat Ullah Junejo had been injured between protesters and police clash on September 11, now he is on medical leave.

Add IG Ashraf Zubair Siddique has taken leave for performing Hajj and SP Liaqut Niazi has gone abroad.
