Once again Pakistani girls leave boys behind

LAHORE: It is a general phenomenon everywhere in Pakistan that girls show better performance in all educational disciplines. Punjab’s girls have once again left the boys behind in entry test of University of Health Sciences Lahore.

According to the result, 44,243 candidates participated in the entry test held on August 31 but only 19,231 got more than 60% marks needed to qualify for the admission in medical and dental courses.

Girls captured the top three positions as Faisalabad’s Aaisha Akhtar took first position with 1,076 marks out of 1100, Lahore’s Sana Shahid stood second with 1,072 marks and Sahiwal’s Maryam Rafeeq took third position with 1,070 marks.

Successful candidates can be enrolled in 20 different government medical collages for MBBS, while 216 will got admission in BDS.

Admission forms will be available from September 23.
